Romeo and Juliet dramatic structure

Exposition Two families are at war. Romeo is in love with Rosaline but she doesn’t love him. Paris wants to marry Juliet. Prince warns of punishment for next fight.
Rising Action Romeo is in love with Juliet and she loves him. Tybalt sends Romeo a challenge to a duel. Paris still wants to marry Juliet but Juliet is already married to Romeo. Romeo and Juliet is doing everything in secret.
Climax The challenge from Tybalt results in the death of Mercutio and Tybalt. Romeo is to be exiled/banished (must leave Juliet). Juliet learns Romeo is banished; Tybalt is dead; and she has to marry Paris.
Falling Action Romeo plans to wait in Mantua until he is reunited with Juliet. Juliet drinks the potion to make her sleep; she will be reunited with Romeo.
Resolution Romeo and Juliet dies. Romeo kills Paris. Capulets and Montagues agree to peace. Friar Lawrence predicted peace from the “marriage”
