Romeo and Juliet Act III Review

The fight between the families specifically, Tybalt and Mercutio fighting and then Tybalt and Romeo fighting. In the opening of Act III, Benvolio says, “these days are hot, and the mad blood stirring.” What could this forshadow?
Tybalt stabs him underneath Romeo’s arm. How does Mercutio die?
Mercutio- A curse or shame on both the Montagues and the Capulets. Because of your fighting, I am now playing the price with my life. Who says “A plague o’ both your houses!” ? What does it mean?
He is now family to Tybalt after marrying Juliet. Mercutio is also his best friend. He wants to honor them both. Why does Romeo attempt to stop the fighting between Tybalt and Mercutio?
Woo is to get at someone’s heart; to find a way to love them and woe is great sadness. What is the difference between woo and woe?
He is worried they will be seen in public and the prince has told them that if someone fights, he/she will pay with their life. Benvolio does not want Tybalt and Mercutio to fight. Why?

The Nurse Who tells Juliet of Romeo’s banishment?
She is upset and hurt that Romeo has killed Tybalt. She is saying all men lie, cheat, are dishonest. You can’t trust any of them. Why does the nurse believe, “There’s no faith, no trust, no honesty in men. All perjured. All forsworn, All naught, All dissemblers.”
Death Romeo can’t believe he has been banished from Verona. What would Romeo rather have as a punishment?
It is like “slaying ten thousand Tybalts. It is father, mother, Juliet, Romeo, Tybalt, All slain. All dead.” It is like killing her entire family or having Tybalt dead 10,000 times. Banishment is much worse than death. What is Romeo’s banishment like for Juliet?

Juliet tells the Nurse she is going to Friar Lawrence’s cell to confession because she has upset her father. In her solioquy, we (tha audience) learn she is going to the Friar’s for help or advice about the marriage to Paris or she will take her own life. What is an example of a soliloquy from the end of Act III?
She will marry Paris on Thursday. What news does Father and Lady Capulet bring to Juliet?
She is upset and refuses to marry him. This starts an argument with her father who says he will disown her if she does not do as he asks. How does Juliet take the news of the marriage to Paris?
You might as well marry Paris. He is a good-looking, well- to-do man and Romeo is banished and there is not much they can do about it. So, marry Paris. What solution does the nurse have for Juliet at the end of Act III?
