Romeo and Juliet: Act II Prologue

Now old desire doth in his death-bed lie, Romeo’s love for Rosaline is over.
And young affection gapes to be his heir; Romeo’s love for Juliet has taken its place.
That fair for which love groan’d for and would die, Rosaline for whom Romeo cried and complained.
With tender Juliet match’d, is now not fair. Compared to Juliet, Rosaline is unattractive.
Now Romeo is beloved and loves again, Romeo is in love again but this time the girl loves him back.
Alike bewitched by the charm of looks, They are in love with each other’s looks.
But to his foe supposed he must complain, Romeo unintentionally fell in love with the enemy.
And she steal love’s sweet bait from fearful hooks: Juliet unknowingly fell in love with HER enemy.
Being held a foe, he may not have access Being the enemy, Romeo won’t be able to see Juliet.
To breathe such vows (many) as lovers use to swear; To say how much he loves her/marry her.
And she as much in love, her means much less She loves him equally, she can’t see him.
To meet her new-beloved any where: To go out anywhere to be together (she is 13 years old.)
But passion leads them power, time means, to meet But their love will give them the strength and time will give them the ability to meet.
