Why do Benvolio and Mercutio finally go home? They assume Romeo wants to be alone and is just upset about Roseline.
Why does Romeo compare Juliet to the sun? Because she is out of his reach, bright, beautiful, and guides him.
Why doesn’t Juliet want Romeo to swear his love by the moon? The moon isn’t always there and so Romeo’s love might not always be there.
What is the only thing that is keeping Romeo and Juliet apart? Their last names.
Would changing their last names change who they are? No.

What has Tybalt sent to Romeo’s home? A letter saying that he wants to fight.
Why doesn’t Mercutio think Romeo will be successful in regard to the content of the letter? Mercutio thinks Romeo still likes Roseline so he’d rather be dead and get killed because she doesn’t love him.
Romeo and Juliet for known each other for how long at this point? About 12 hours.
Define shrift and explain its importance to the play/plot. Shrift is confession. Juliet will get out of the house alone by saying she is going to shrift, when really she is going to get married.
Threats to Romeo and Juliet’s happiness. They fell in love quick and they’re not supposed to be in love anyways so their families could find out and tear them apart. Also, they’re rushing into this marriage. Worry about parents finding out. Etc.
Which road have Romeo and Juliet taken? The road less traveled because they’re doing everything the difficult way.
