Lady Macbeth-telling Macbeth that he can’t think about the murder because there is nothing they can do about something that is already done and over with -like the saying “don’t cry over spilled milk” “With them they think on? Macbeth-even if he would stop killing now, there would still be bloodshed–so why stop now? “I am in blood stepped in so far that, should I wade no more, returning were as tedious as go o’er.”
Lady Macbeth-when talking in her sleep she realizes that the blood will always be on the hands, the smell and the remembrance-Mimics when Mcb said not all the water in the ocean could clean his hands “Here’s the smell of the blood still.
