| What four things did the witches show macbeth? what does each show/say? what is Macbeths reaction | They show him an armed head, a bloody child, a crowned child with a tree in its hand, and, finally eight kings followed by banquos ghost. respectively, they show/ foretell Macbeth to beware of Macduff, the he will not be harmed by anyone “born of woman” that he will not be vanquished until birnam wood becomes Dunsinane ( the woods moves up the hill to the castle), and that banquo’s descendants will be kings. Macbeth believes the first three show him to be invincible but he definitely doesn’t like that one about banquo. he pretty much decides to deal with this problem of his family line. |
