What is Macbeth’s lie to Banquo about the witches’ predictions? When he says he doesn’t think about them, he really does because the witches told him he’ll be king by killing the king.
What is the signal Lady Macbeth is to give Macbeth to let him know that she has takencare of the guards (grooms)? She rings a bell.
What excuse does Lady Macbeth give for not killing Duncan herself? He looks like her dad when he sleeps.
After Macbeth kills Duncan, he goes to Lady Macbeth and is concerned about not beingable to say “Amen.” What is her advice to him? Don’t think about it to much.
Then, Macbeth is worried about hearing a voice saying, “Macbeth does murder sleep.”What does Lady Macbeth then tell him to do? Go get some water and wash your hands.
Why won’t Macbeth take the daggers back to the scene of the crime? He doesn’t want to see what he did.
Who was knocking? Macduff and Lennox
What three things does drinking provoke? Nose-painting, sleep and urnie
How does Lennox describe the night, and what is Macbeth’s response? They had a bad night and heard all these weird noises. Macbeth said he had a bad night too (casting it off like it was nothing).
What did Macduff discover? He found the dead bodies.
Macduff says, “Oh, gentle lady, ‘Tis not for you to hear what I can speak. The repetition,in a woman’s ear, Would murder as it fell.” What is ironic about this? She was part of the murder and told Macbeth to do it.
What excuse or explanation did Macbeth give for killing the guards (grooms)? Whatis his real reason? He killed them because he was so mad. The real reason was so they don’t rat him out.
Why do Malcolm and Donalbain leave? They are scared because they think that they are going to be killed
Why does Ross not believe Malcolm and Donalbain were responsible for Duncan’smurder? Its not something they would do.
