if it were done, when ’tis done, then ’twere well it were done quickly. if th’assassination could trammel up the consequence, and catch with his sucrease, success Macbeth believe if murder was to be committed then it should be done quickly and the only way he would consider murder is if he received no consequences
first, as i am his kinsman and his subject- strong both against the deed; then, as his host, who should against his murderer shut the door, not bear the knife myself Macbeth gives 3 valid reasons against murdering Duncan. he uses these reasons to reject the notion of murder

I am settled No more is Macbeth a reluctant murderer as he finally pushes away all of his doubts about the murder
false face must hide what the false heart doth know Whatever spark of goodness that was once in Macbeth has now gone and he overcomes his hesitations
