Do you think the relationship between the King and Queen is realistic? In context the relationship is more realistic than not. Since the play is set in the medieval era, marriage was typically not for love, but for financial security or to continue a family’s hierarchical power. The Queen was acting in her and Hamlet’s interest by keeping Hamlet in line for the throne.

Who is responsible for Ophelia’s death? Ophelia’s emotions are at odds because someone she loves (Hamlet) kills someone she also loves (her dad). She relied on Hamlet’s reassurance and reciprocated emotions and they were completely taken from her. Polonius prevented her from being happy w hamlet, she didn’t see a solution

Since Hamlet loves his dad he will probably want to do what he says. They want to talk in private because Hamlet’s dad knows killing Claudius is controversial and even heretical.
