Hamlet Act 1 Scene III

Laertes and Ophelia (brother and sister) *Laertes tells Ophelia to stay away from Hamlet*Laertes tells her she could never be with Hamlet because he is a prince and she is a servant’s daughter.*Says all Hamlet wants is sex*Ophelia doesn’t take her brother seriously because he himself is not a very good role model.
Polonius (Laertes and Ophelia’s father) advises Laertes *Gives Laertes advice on how to behave at school. He says:1. choose friends wisely2. don’t gamble3. don’t start fights but stick up for yourself4. be a good listener5. dress nicely6. Don’t borrow or lend money7. ABOVE ALL-BE YOURSELF
Polonius advises Ophelia *wonders what’s going on with her and Hamlet*tells Ophelia to stay away from Hamlet*Ophelia says Hamlet really loves her (she said he swore to Heaven)* Polonius tells her all he wants is sex that’s why he says he loves her.
