How truthful was Gatsby when he relayed the story of his life to Nick? Why does Fitzgerald tell the story of Jay Gatz now? Gatsby told a lie about everything, but the author is now revealing the story because of all the events that are occurring.
Describe the meeting of Tom and Gatsby. What does this meeting reveal about them? Nick tried to introduce them to each other, but Gatsby is no where to be found. What this reveals is Gatsby is in love with Daisy and Tom finally find this out.
Why did Daisy and Tom find Gatsby’s party loathsome? Because everyone from west egg is there and they are much less well mannered and sophisticated.
How did Gatsby measure the success of his party? He measures it by how much daisy enjoys it and how many people actually show up.
When Nick told Gatsby that “you can’t repeat the past”, Gatsby Do you agree with Nick or Gatsby? I agree with Nick because the past is the past ypu cant repeat events that have already occurred.
