Oblivious Not aware of or not concerned about what is happening around one
Purgative Strongly laxative in effect. Yikes!
Dire Extremely serious or urgent
Brandish Wave or flourish, as a threat, danger, or excitement (usually a weapon)
Stave A vertical wooden post or plank in a building or other structure (like a barrel)
Trenchant Vigorous or incisive in expression or style – an archaic tool having a sharp edge
Palter Equivocative or prevaricate in action or speech (speak or act in an evasive way)
Salutation A gesture or utterance made as a greeting or acknowledgement
Tyranny A cruel and oppressive government or rule
